WHEEL BEARINGS
The front and rear wheel bearings must
be checked at the intervals specified in
the periodic maintenance and
lubrication chart.
If there is play in the wheel hub or if the
wheel does not turn smoothly, have a
dealer check the wheel bearings.
BATTERY
This model is equipped with a sealed
type (MF) battery, which does not
require any maintenance. There is no
need to check the electrolyte or to add
distilled water.
•
Do not remove the battery vent
seal, this can be dangerous, the
battery permanently damaged.
•
Battery acid is poisonous and
dangerous, it contains sulfuric acid and
leads to dangerous burns.
•
Avoid skin, eye and clothing
contact.Protect your eyes always
when working near the battery.
•
Upon contact with the battery
acid, make immediate first aid.
•
If skin or eye contact with battery
acid, rinse the affected areas with
plenty of water.
•
When accidentally swallowed battery acid
drink large amounts of water.
•
In both cases, as soon as possible, see a
doctor.
•
Batteries develop explosive hydrogen gas.
Keep open flames,smoking materials away
from the battery and make sure there
inadequate ventilation when you charge a
battery indoors.
Charge the battery
Have a dealer charge the battery as
soon as possible if it seems to have
discharged. Keep in mind that the
battery tends to discharge more quickly
if the vehicle is equipped with optional
electrical accessories.
Store the battery
•
If the vehicle will not be used for
more than one month, remove the
battery, fully charge it, and then
place it in a cool, dry place.
•
If the battery will be stored for more
than two months, check it at least
once a month and fully charge it if
necessary.
•
Fully charge the battery before
installation.
•
After installation, make sure that the
battery leads are properly connected
to the battery terminals.

not familiar with handling the
battery.
