4 PRECAUTIONS
4.1 PRECAUTIONS CONCERNING THIS DEVICE 2
4.1.1 PRECAUTIONS RELATED TO THE USE OF THE STRETCHER TROLLEY
In order to ensure a correct use of the product, only take action if the weight is correctly
distributed on the device.
If you are dealing with a turbulent patient or a patient without any surveillance, it is
recommended to leave the lying surface in the lowest position in order to reduce risks due to a
possible fall.
As a general rule, it is recommended to use the "adjustable height" function in order to take care
of the patient and work at an ergonomic height.
The patient shall be raised or lowered while the bars are lowered and via the centre of the
lying surface and not by means of its ends (head side or foot side). Risks of falling.
The pair of bars shall in no way be considered as an impassable area by the patients.
Appropriate provisions shall be implemented according to the latter.
When the stretcher-trolley no longer needs to be moved, it shall be immobilised by means of
brakes. We shall then check that the wheels are locked by trying to move the trolley. If this action
is not carried out, this may cause a person attempting to support themselves on the stretcher-
trolley to fall.
All handling operations related to the above precautions of use are described in paragraph
II - Instructions.
It is recommended to not act without having appropriate training.
4.1.2 PRECAUTION RELATED TO THE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF THE EQUIPMENT
The device shall not be modified without the Manufacturer's prior agreement: the modification
could cause an unpredictable operation and thus damage to the patient and healthcare
personnel.
The device shall be checked on a regular basis.
In order to maintain the device in a good condition and ensure that it operates in a safe and
reliable manner, it is necessary to carry out the recommended maintenance work.
