USE
FITTING AND ADJUSTMENT
For the helmet to provide the intended protection it must be adjusted to the user’s head� Wear the
helmet with the peak at the front� To change the size, adjust the straps at the back of the helmet and
check that it fits comfortably on your head� When transporting the helmet, or when it is not in use,
keep it away from direct sunlight, chemicals and abrasive substances, and make sure it cannot be
damaged by contact with hard surfaces/objects�
USE
The helmet is intended to absorb energy from impact by destructing, or by damaging the shell or
straps� Helmets that have been exposed to heavy blows must be scrapped, even if there is no sign of
visible damage�
To avoid damaging the helmet, do not modify it or remove original parts from it (unless recommend-
ed by the manufacturer)� Do not apply paint, solvents or self-adhesive labels on the helmet, unless
instructed by the helmet manufacturer�
MAINTENANCE
• The helmet is a complete system, consisting of a shell and straps� The useful life of the helmet is
affected by many different factors, such as weather conditions, temperature, exposure to
chemicals, sunlight, or improper use� The helmet and straps should be checked every day for
obvious signs of cracking or other damage�
• The date of manufacture is specified on the top of the helmet� In normal circumstances the
helmet should provide full protection for 2-3 years�
• If the helmet does not show any sign of damage it can continue to be used for its intended
applications� Do not use parts from other manufacturers for this helmet�
• The safety helmet should be cleaned and disinfected with a mild soap solution and lukewarm
water, and then wiped with a soft cloth� If this method does not clean the safety helmet properly,
the helmet should be discarded�
• Do not clean the safety helment with abrasive substances or solvents, and do not store it where
it can be exposed to direct sunlight or come into contact with solvents�
• During transport and storage, store the helmet away from direct sunlight, chemicals or sharp
objects�
