Operation 

ALWAYS

 ensure that operators are trained in the use of diamond cutting discs and angle 

grinders and understand and follow the safety requirements before mounting the disc.

1.  Choose a suitable angle grinder.

 

Always ensure that you have chosen the appropriate angle grinder for the task.

2.  Choose a suitable diamond cutting disc. 

 

Always ensure that you have chosen the appropriate diamond cutting disc for the task. 

 

Refer to the information above when determining which diamond cutting disc is best 

 

suited to the job you want to carry out. 

3.  Ensure the maximum operating speeds of the machine and blade are compatible.

 

Always ensure you have checked and are aware of the maximum operating speeds of 

 

the diamond cutting disc and the angle grinder and that they are compatible. 

4.  Mounting the diamond cutting disc. 

 

Always ensure you follow the instructions of your chosen angle grinder when mounting 

 

any diamond cutting disc.

5.  Securing the work object. 

 

Always ensure that the work object you are cutting is firmly secured to minimise 

 

movement during the cutting process.

6. Cutting. 

 

Always ensure you hold the angle grinder with a firm grip and two hands. Carefully 

 

move the grinder across the bulk or body of your work in the direction of the handle to 

 

avoid kickback or the disc slipping which could damage your work and cause injury.

7.  Finishing cutting. 

 

Always ensure you slowly and carefully lift the grinder from the surface of the work

 

when finishing any grinding task.
