Should a power failure occur, or the vehicle restraint or control
panel malfunction while the restraint arm is in the vertical locked
position (preventing a vehicle from departing), the manual
release valve can be opened, allowing the arm to return to the
stored position.
1.
Remove cover from the manual release valve. NOTE: if red
stem is visible, cover does not need to be removed.
2.
Turn valve stem counter-clockwise to open the manual release
valve and release the restraint arm.
3.
After the arm is stored, turn the valve stem clockwise until
snug. Once valve is closed, normal operation can resume.
4.
Replace the cover on the manual release valve.

Releasing pressure will cause the restraint arm to spring
forward abruptly. Keep hands and feet away from
operating space of the restraint arm.
