3 SAFETY RULES/RESIDUAL RISKS
3.1
SAFETY “DO NOTS”
3.1.1 W
arning
. DO NOT allow children of less than 8 years of age to use the appliance. In order to use
the appliance, children over 8 years of age must be instructed in its use and supervised during use
by adults fully informed about the correct use of the appliance and the relative risks. Children MUST
NOT play with the appliance. Supervise children to ensure that this does not occur.
3.1.2 W
arning
. NEVER use the appliance close to delicate parts of the body such as eyes, mouth and
ears.
3.1.3 Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by unsupervised children.
3.1.4 Keep the packaging film out of reach of children. Suffocation hazard!
3.1.5 This appliance is not intended for use by children, persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or persons without the necessary experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised
for their own safety by an authorised person, or have received instructions from the latter on how to
use the appliance and the relative risks.
3.1.6 W
arning
. The appliance MUST NOT be operated by children of less than 8 years of age, incompetent
persons or those who have not read and understood the instructions.
3.1.7 W
arning
. NEVER use the appliance without the filter or with the filter not correctly fitted. NEVER
suck in liquids of any kind. This appliance is unable to function correctly with liquids.
3.1.8 W
arning
. nEVEr suck in red hot ash, liquids or fuels such as petrol, and never use in zones where
these may be present.
Use of the appliance in a potentially flammable or explosive atmosphere is forbidden. Use in
environments with an explosion hazard is forbidden.
3.1.9 Switch off the appliance after each use and before all cleaning/maintenance.
3.1.10 Fire hazard. NEVER suck up burning or red hot objects (such as cigarettes, matches or hot ash).
3.1.11 NEVER suck up building rubble or plaster or cement in powder form. The appliance is designed to
suck up cold ash only. IT IS NOT suitable for cleaning boilers or oil heaters.

. NEVER use the appliance outdoors in the rain.

. DO NOT touch the plug and/or socket with wet hands.
3.1.14 W
arning
. NEVER use the appliance if the power cable is damaged. If the power cable is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer, one of its authorised Service Centres or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a safety hazard.
