The Stereo Flanger Effect
Description
Using the same algorithm as our Flanger, this plug-in adds a unique feature to the original effect: you
can smoothly transform it into a stereo flanging effect with a single slider. Push the 'stereo' slider of
the user interface and hear the difference: the effect is turning around you head and the sound takes
another dimension.
Simple yet powerful, this feature benefits from the Smooth Update mechanism, and thus does not
introduce any 'plop' when you modify the parameters, on both DirectX and VST platforms.
Parameters
The parameters of this plug-in are the following:
Param id
Name
Unit
Description
dsp.input0
Bypass
Bypass the effect.
dsp.input1
Gain
dB
Input gain.
dsp.input2
Dry
%
Amount of dry input signal.
dsp.input3
Feed Forward
%
Amount of direct delayed signal (signal modified by
the non-recursive variable delay). A negative value
means phase inversion for the direct delay.
dsp.input4
Feedback
%
Amount of feedback for the recursive variable
delay. If you set this value to +/-100% the signal
might increase until it clicks. A negative value
means phase inversion for the recursive delay.
When set to 0, the effect behaves like a chorus
effect with a short delay.
dsp.input5
Delay
ms
Average delay applied to the signal.
dsp.input6
Depth
%
Depth of the Stereo Flanger effect: amount of
delay variation around the average delay.
dsp.input7
Rate
Hz
Rate of the LFO.
dsp.input8
Stereo
%
Amount of stereo effect. Set this parameter to 0 if
you want a mono Flanger effect.
dsp.input9
Shape
Selects one of the two available shapes for the
LFO: sine (0) or triangle (1) waveform.
The param id field is used when designing a new skin. See the
Skins
section for more information.
