Bypassing a traffic jam during navigation
Alongside the ability to automatically bypass traffic jams with the aid of the dy-
namic navigation feature, the TravelPilot E1/E2 also gives you the option of
manually entering traffic jams or blocked sections of road during an active nav-
igation session.
To bypass a traffic jam, proceed as follows:

Press and hold down the NAV button

for longer than 2 seconds.

Mark and confirm the

menu item.

The traffic jam menu appears in the display.

Turn the menu knob

to set the distance to the end of the traffic jam rela-
tive to your current position.

The navigation session display appears again and the route is recalculated.
Note: If necessary, the system will ask you to insert the navigation
CD-ROM.
