FUNCTIONS

Functions

This section describes the settings that
can be configured on the device and
using the remote control: factory de-
faults, configuration, inputs, surround
functions, Pro Logic, dynamic range,
volume and balance, sound reproduc-
tion functions, delay time, mute on/off,
test tone on/off, amplifier reset.

System factory defaults

To reset the ODA Surround amplifier to
its factory default settings (reset), you
must tap your finger on RESET YES in
the SETUP menu and confirm with
ENTER. For further details, see SET-

Note:

If using the digital inputs, you must sel-

Stereo, Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS) at the
source (e.g. DVD player).

Gain control

You can use the input gain control to
adjust the input sensitivity of the ODA
Surround amplifier to the output volta-
ge of your audio device’s preamp out-
put. The setting can be adjusted bet-
ween 0.3 V and 8 V.

Note:

The gain controls have an effect on the
analogue inputs (AUX 1, AUX 2, Hi-
LEVEL IN).

When connecting an audio device pro-
duced by another manufacturer, you
must adjust the input sensitivity in ac-
cordance with the information provided
by the manufacturer.

Some important explanatory notes
regarding this:

Turning the control clockwise increases
the input sensitivity of the amplifier and
therefore also the volume. This, howe-
ver, is not a volume control; setting it to
its maximum position will not result in
an increase in the amplifier power, even
if it sounds like it ought to. The system
only increases the volume more quickly
when you turn up the volume control of
the audio device.
