Acoustic Alarm

When leaving the coverage area of the tun-
ed in traffic station, your car radio automati-
cally sends out an acoustic alarm after ap-
proximately 30 seconds.
This alarm tone can also be heard when
pressing a preset button with no ARI station
allocated to it.

Switching the Alarm Tone Off
a) Tune in another station providing traffic

information:

press rocker switch

a preset button on which a traffic
station is stored.

b) deactivate ARI preference:

press the ARI rocker switch

Automatic Start of the Station
Seek Operation 
(Tape Playback)

When leaving the coverage area of the tun-
ed in traffic station, your car radio will auto-
matically start searching for a new traffic
station while you are listening to your tape.

Adjusting the Volume of Traffic
Messages and the Acoustic
Alarm

This volume has been set ex factory. Howe-
ver, you can adapt it according to your
personal preferences.

Tune in to a traffic information station
(“SK” 

:

 is displayed).

Activate the ARI function by

pressing the ARI rocker switch

Turn the volume down.

Using a suitable screwdriver (maximum bla-
de width 2 mm), you can carefully (!) adjust
the volume while a traffic message is broad-
cast.

Tape Section

Inserting the Tape

If you wish to play a cassette tape:

switch the set on.

gently insert the cassette with side 1
upwards.

The tape will then be played in the direction
it was last played.
Track indication

 indicates which side is

played.

- side A or 1 is played.
- side B or 2 is played (reverse opera-

tion).

Removing the Tape

If you wish to remove the tape:

press the

button

then ejected.

Fast Forwarding/Rewinding of
the Tape

Fast Forward

Press the FF (Fast Forward) button

At the end of the tape the set will switch
to the other side and resume playing.

Stopping the Fast Forward Operation
