7. FAQ & Troubleshooting
Frequently Asked Questions
No, the phase sequence protection in the
electrobox will make sure that CW is always
CW, and CCW is always CCW. See the sticker on
the drum.
The machine can also be re-built to work as a
scarifier / milling machine. For scarifying you
need CW-rotation of the drum.
No, because during start-up of the drum, the
motor will pull a lot of amps, that is why you
need a 63A connection. Using a 32A plug will
trip the fuses of the power supply.
For normal shaving operation, we always advise
the BDC-44 (DB/BB) + Pre-Sep BPS-LP-0022.
For sawing deep slots, we advise the 200DC +
Pre-Sep BPS-LP-0022.
For heavy duty shaving operation, we advise the
BDC-66 (DB/BB) + Pre-Sep E12278.
The sticker is only an indication to help read the
depth. If the sawing blades wear, or the
frontbar is set differently, then the sticker will
not indicate zero. There is a marker which can
be set by hand to help indicate zero, or mark
the desired depth.
There are many things which can cause this
problem. Most of the times, this is a combination
of sawing too deep and driving too fast.
If reducing the driving speed and working less
deep does not solve the problem, contact your
local Blastrac dealer.
