Maintenance and cleaning
DANGER !
IMPORTANT: the precautions described below
must be taken during all the maintenance
operations, including cleaning and replacing
of the fi lter.
a) To allow the user to carry out the maintenance
operations, the vacuum cleaner must be
disassembled, cleaned and overhauled as far
as is reasonably possible, without causing
hazards for the maintenance staff or other
people.
IMPORTANT: compartments that are not
dust-tight must be opened with suitable tools
(screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.) and thoroughly
cleaned.
b) Carry out a technical inspection at least once
a year, e.g.: check the fi lter to fi nd out whether
the air-tightness of the vacuum cleaner has
been impaired in any way and make sure that
the electric control panel operates correctly.
This inspection must be carried out by the
manufacturer or by a competent person.

Use only genuine spare parts supplied and
authorized by the manufacturer.
Primary fi lter disassembly and replacement
DANGER !
Filter replacement is a serious matter.
The fi lter must be replaced with one of identical
fi ltering surface characteristics.
Otherwise, the vacuum cleaner will not operate
correctly.
Primary fi lter replacement
Before proceeding with these operations, turn off the
vacuum cleaner and remove the plug from the power
socket.
Primary fi lter replacement (fi g. 10)

Release stop “A”, unscrew fi lter shaker knob “B”
and remove head “D”.

Release the two closing hooks “C”, lift the fi lter “E”
and unscrew the clamp “F” that holds the fi lter on
the bearing ring “G”.

Unscrew cage “H” and overturn the fi lter, exposing
coupling clamp “I”.

Release the clamps and detach the cage from the
fi lter.

Dispose of the fi lter according to the laws in force.

Fit the new fi lter and secure it in the cage with
special clamps.

Assemble the components in the reverse order of
disassembly.
Absolute fi lter assembly or replacement
(optional)
- Filter for dusts harmful to health: Class “H”.
DANGER !
Take care not to raise dust when this operation is
carried out.
Wear a P3 mask and other protective clothing plus
protective gloves (DPI) suited to the hazardous
nature of the dust collected, refer to the laws in
force.
Before proceeding with these operations, turn off the
vacuum cleaner and remove the plug from the power
socket.
Upstream absolute fi lter assembly or replacement
(fi g. 16)
Assembly or replacement
- Release stop “A”, unscrew fi lter shaker knob “B” and
remove head “D” (fi g. 16).
- Unscrew the nut from the ferrule under the head “D”,
insert the washer “E”, screw the ferrule “F”, insert the
fi lter “G”, the gasket “H” and the disc “I”, screw the nut
“L”, fi t the head back in position and fi x with the closing
hooks “C”.
- To dispose of the fi lter put it in a sealed plastic bag,
close it hermetically and dispose of it in accordance
with the laws in force.
