CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Care has been taken to assure that your machine has been properly adjusted and
lubricated at the factory. It is not recommended that the user attempt service on the
internal components. Instead, seek service from an authorized service center. However,
we strongly suggest disinfecting and wiping off the machine following each workout
session by spraying a diluted household cleaning solution (Windex, 409, etc) on a soft
cloth. This prevents sweat from forming salt deposit which could corrode and destroy
vulnerable components and the finish.
NOTE:
Do not spray directly on the components as wet and running traces could cause hazards
to the electronics.
Over time, the outer surfaces may appear dull or dirty. By following the instructions
below, you will restore and preserve the original finish.
Cleaning metal surfaces may be accomplished by using a soft cotton or terry cloth rag
with a light application of car wax. Do not use aerosol spray or pump bottles as they
may deposit harmful substance on the console surface. The use of harsh chemicals will
destroy the protective coating.
Dust or fingerprints on surface may be cleaned with a soft cloth and cleaning spray
found in most computer supply stores.
Lint trapped inside the motor may cause a noisy motor operation and undesirable
performance for the equipment. A layer of lint accumulating on top of the electronics
will act as wick in a wet environment and could become dangerous while power is
present. Vacuuming frequently under the motor cover is recommended to clean and
prevent harmful conditions.
WARNING: Always unplug your elliptical prior to cleaning or servicing your
machine, in order to avoid electrical hazard or shock.
