Switches
Mini Converter UpDownCross HD’s switches provide the following settings :
Switch 1 - Processing Off - Processing On
When switch 1 is set to OFF all conversions are bypassed and the converter can be used to
distribute your video via both SDI and HDMI outputs.
With switch 1 set to OFF the SDI and HDMI outputs match their corresponding inputs.
When switch 1 is set to ON, processing is enabled and switches 4 to 8 configure the
converter’s output.
Switch 2 - Level A and Level B 3G-SDI
When switch 2 is set to OFF the converter outputs level B 3G-SDI. When set to ON the
converter outputs level A 3G-SDI. This provides compatibility with other SDI equipment that
uses level A or level B 3G-SDI.
TIP
If you have connected a 3G-SDI signal to 3G-SDI equipment and the signal is not
being detected, try changing the setting for switch 2 as the equipment you’re
connected to may be using an alternate SDI level.
Switches 4 - 8
Switches 4 to 8 determine the format and standard of the converter’s output signal. The switch
configuration for each format and standard is shown on the table on the base of the unit.
