MINIMODEM USBNAME
The ringer equivalence number (REN) assigned to
each terminal device provides an indication of the
maximum number of terminals allowed to be connected
to a telephone interface. The termination on an
interface may consist of any combination of devices
subject only to the requirement that the sum of the
ringer equivalence numbers of all the devices does
not exceed 5.
A.3 Compliance with BABT Requirements
WARNING
Interconnection directly, or by way of other apparatus,
of ports marked “SAFETY WARNING see instructions
for use” with ports marked or not so marked may
produce hazardous conditions on the network. Get
advice from a competent engineer before making such
a connection.
Telephones that connect to the external socket
must be approved for direct connection to the
Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
This apparatus has been approved for the use
of the following facilities:
• Auto-calling
• Loop disconnect and MF dialing
