WORKING with the WORKMATE
The prime feature o f the WORKMATE i s its ability t o hold a great variety o f differently
shaped p i e c e s i n a secure, c o n v e n i e n t w o r k i n g p o s i t i o n . B o t h h a n d s r e m a i n f r e e t o
hold tools properly and safely.
The t w o handles adjust t h e vise j a w s t o a maximum 51/4" j a w opening. B e c a u s e e a c h
handle operates independently, the opening c a n b e tapered f r o m 0 " t o 4 " . T h i s allows
you t o hold tapered w o r k pieces (Figure 4).
Avoid a p p l y i n g excessive f o r c e w h e n t i g h t e n i n g t h e v i s e j a w s . A n e v e n p r e s s u r e i s
important. Ti g h t e n b o t h v i s e handles s o t h a t they e x e r t approximately e q u a l p r e s s u r e
on t h e work.
