ADDITIONAL WARNINGS FOR LAWNMOWERS

WARNING:  Rotating blade can cause serious injury.

Release switch

lever to turn lawnmower off, wait for the blade to stop

rotating (approx. 5 seconds) and unplug the lawnmower

whenever you leave the lawnmower, before removing and

replacing the grass catcher, or unclogging or cleaning the

lawnmower housing, when making any repairs or

inspections, and when lifting, transporting or storing the

lawnmower.

•

THOROUGHLY

inspect the area where the lawnmower is to be used and

remove all stones, sticks, wires, bones, and other foreign objects that could

be thrown by the blade. Objects struck by lawnmower blade can cause

severe injury to persons.

•

NEVER

attempt to make a wheel height adjustment while the motor is

running or while the lawnmower is  plugged in.

Prior to making wheel

height adjustment release switch lever to turn lawnmower off, wait for

the blade to stop rotating (approx. 5 seconds) and unplug the

lawnmower.

When making wheel height adjustments ensure all 4

wheels are moved to the same height setting and wheel nuts are

secure.

WARNING:  TO AVOID THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY

do not operate

lawnmower unless all 4 wheels are mounted in the same

wheel height position on deck.

•

DO NOT

put hands or feet near or under rotating parts.  Keep clear of the

discharge opening at all times.

when reversing or pulling lawnmower toward you.

•

switch lever to turn lawnmower off and wait for the blade to stop

rotating (approx. 5 seconds) when crossing gravel drives, walks, roads

and patios.

•

AFTER STRIKING

a foreign object, release switch lever to turn lawnmower

off, wait for the blade to stop rotating (approx. 5 seconds) and unplug the

lawnmower, thoroughly inspect the lawnmower for any damage, and

repair the damage before restarting and operating the lawnmower.

•

IF THE

lawnmower should start to vibrate abnormally release switch lever

to turn lawnmower off and wait for the blade to stop rotating (approx. 5

seconds)  and unplug lawnmower. Check immediately for cause. Vibration

is generally a warning of trouble.

the face of slopes; never up and down. Exercise extreme

caution when changing direction on slopes.  Do not mow excessively steep

slopes.
