(Original instructions)

To refit the handle:

u

Remove the accessory from the hose.

u

Push the hose (4) into the handle (2). Rotate the locking

ring (3) clockwise until it clicks into place.

Use

u

not in use.

Charging the battery (Fig. D)

u

Place the appliance on the charging base (11)

u

Plug in the charger. Switch on at the mains. The charging

indicator (7) will flash continuously (slowly)

u

Leave the appliance to charge.

While charging, the charger may become warm. This is

normal and does not indicate a problem. The appliance can

be left connected to the charger indefinitely. The charging

indicator (7) will be lit as long as the appliance is connected to

the plugged-in charger.

Warning! Do not charge the battery at ambient temperatures

below 10 °C or above 40 °C.

The charge is complete when the charging indicator (7) lights

continuously. The charger and the battery can be left connect-

ed indefinitely with the LED illuminated. The LED will change

to flashing (charging) state as the charger occasionally tops

off the battery charge. The charging indicator (7) will be lit as

long as the battery is connected to the plugged-in charger.

u

Charge discharged batteries within 1 week. Battery life will

be greatly diminished if stored in a discharged state.

Note: The charger will not charge a battery if the cell

temperature is below approximately 0 °C or above 40 °C.

The battery should be left in the charger and the charger

will begin to charge automatically when the cell tempera-

ture warms up or cools down.

Battery diagnostics

If the appliance detects a weak battery, the charging indica-

tor (3) will flash at a fast rate when the power button (1) is

activated. Proceed as follows:

u

Place the appliance on the charging base (11)

u

Plug in the charger. Switch on at the mains.

u

Leave the appliance to charge.

indicator (7) will flash at a fast rate when the appliance is on

the charger base. Proceed as follows:

u

Take the appliance and the charger to be tested at an

authorised services centre.

Note: It may take as long as 60 minutes to determine that

the battery is defective. If the battery is too hot or too

cold, the LED will alternately blink, fast and slow, one

flash at each speed and repeat.

u

To switch the appliance on, slide the on/off power switch

(1) to the right to position 1.

u

To switch the appliance off, slide the on/off power switch

allowing you to reach up to 1.5 m from the appliance.

u

With the handle (2) removed, the appliance can be carried

using the built-in handle.

that you can connect an accessory directly to the hose

cuff (14) when required.
