– The range of control is reduced if not every cylin-
der bank is equipped with capacity regulators.
The minimum capacity step of 50% is the lower
regulation limit for 4-cylinder compressors with
one capacity regulator. In this case, the CM-
RC-01 regulates to a residual capacity of 50% as
soon as the control signal falls below 5 V.
8.2 Control via Modbus interface
Baud rate of 19.2 kbps as standard.
Plugging cable into terminal strip CN14 or connecting
itsee figure 8, page 10.
In this case, the operating parameters can be mon-
itored via Bluetooth by means of the BEST
SOFTWARE.
9 Monitoring the operating parameters using the
BEST SOFTWARE
The BEST SOFTWARE offers comprehensive access
to all operating data and control parameters and can be
downloaded for free from the BITZER website
(www.bitzer.de).
9.1 Communication via BEST SOFTWARE
• Mobile device
– equipped with the operating system Windows 7 or
newer
– with Bluetooth interface or USB port
– with BEST SOFTWARE installed
The BEST SOFTWARE can be downloaded for
free from the BITZER website (www.bitzer.de).
• For communication via the USB port:
– Plug the BEST interface converter into the com-
pressor module (CN14) and the mobile device.
– Control the compressor via the analogue connec-
tion (CN13). Simultaneous capacity control via the
Modbus connection is not possible.
Setting up communication
• Switch the mobile device on and start the
BEST SOFTWARE (1).
• Click the N

• Select CM-RC-01 (3).
• Click the C

The compressor module is now connected to the

• Select FIRMWARE UPDATE (1) and B

• Browse the folder (...\BEST\Firmware\CM-RC-01) to
find new firmware.
• Start firmware update and wait until successful up-
date is confirmed. Click OK to confirm (3).
