1. Introduction
Airing of buildings are becoming ever more important due to the continued improvement of
airtight building envelopes. The consequence of this energy-saving building method is that the
air humidity, which is formed in the day to day use of a room can no longer escape sufficiently.
Dampness can thus form and cause damage, at worst resulting in mould and fungi growth,
which deteriorates air quality and can become a health hazard.
1.1 Function Description
For the dehumidifying of buildings, ventilation systems of different types and performance
levels are used. Temperature and humidity sensors compare the internal and external
temperatures and humidity. A Controller compares these values.
At higher humidity in the building, using a load relay, a ventilation system is switched on.
The ventilation is only switched on if the humidity outside is less than inside, thus making the
drying process of the area possible.
1.2 Application
The bioxX dehumidifying controller bx-ESG can be used in both home and the commercial
sector. Ensure that dampness due to defective construction parts, gutters, roofs etc.
is avoided; this can be achieved by routine repairs. The bx-ESG can also be used for
temperature control of cellars, restaurants, offices and dwellings (minimum and maximum
temperature).
Home/Office
• Ventilating of rooms with high air humidity (e.g. Laundry rooms)
•
Dehumidifying of dampness due to dense construction cover
•
Dehumidifying of condensation on walls, floors and construction units that don’t fit flush.
•
Basic ventilation for humidity purposes (living spaces)
Commercial Sector
Additionally the dehumidifying controller can be used to operate industrial aerators and
ventilation systems up to an output of 1800 W humidity.
1.3 Warranty and Adhesion
bioxX system GmbH offers a two years warranty on factory defects and components of the
controller.
Repairs and maintenance should only be done by professionals.
Warranty of the controller voids if:
•
Inappropriate handling, maintenance or repair is done on it.
•
After the installation changes are made to the system by a non-professional
