Biosmart-Studio Software Settings
General Instructions
Reader operation is configured in Biosmart-Studio sof
tware. The reader can’
t independently interact
with the Biosmart-Studio software. Initially, add the BioSmart UniPass Pro controller or the BioSmart
SmartHub software service (which will act as a controller in the absence of BioSmart UniPass Pro) to the
Biosmart-Studio software, and then add readers and configure the settings.
Attention!
BioSmart SmartHub software and BioSmart PalmJet reader (BioSmart PalmJet
BOX, BioSmart PalmJet BOX-T) are supported begining from Biosmart-Studio software
version 6.0.0.2158.
Adding the BioSmart UniPass Pro controller and the BioSmart SmartHub software service to the
Biosmart-Studio software is performed on the
Devices
tab. After adding BioSmart UniPass Pro or BioSmart
SmartHub, open the "
Properties
" window and add readers on the "
Actions
" tab. Regardless the reader type
(BioSmart PalmJet, BioSmart PalmJet BOX, BioSmart PalmJet BOX-T) in the Biosmart-Studio software these
readers will be founded as BioSmart PalmJet with the corresponding serial number. In the future, the reader
name displayed in the Biosmart-Studio software may be replaced with the one that is more convenient to

Settings description of the BioSmart SmartHub software service and readers are below. The BioSmart
UniPass Pro controller settings in terms of interaction with readers are similar to the BioSmart SmartHub
software service settings.
BioSmart SmartHub
The settings performed in the "
Properties
" window of BioSmart SmartHub are described below. The
"
Properties
" window is opened by double-clicking the left mouse button on the BioSmart SmartHub in the
Biosmart-Studio software.

“General” Tab
The main purpose of the "
General
" tab is to configure BioSmart SmartHub network parameters and
select an operating mode (stand-alone or server).
