12.2 ACTIVATION
ATTENTION: ENSURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS EQUIPPED WITH A DIFFERENTIAL SWITCH (LI-
FE-SAVING SYSTEM) AND WITH A PROTECTIVE CONDUCTOR (GROUNDING SYSTEM).
WATER MUST NOT BE DISTILLED AND/OR DEMINERALIZED
1. Check that the boiler draning tap (C.3) is closed.
2. MODEL BF214 : fill in the tank (11) with water, then place it under the boiler and insert the refilling hose
(12) ( the hose must be always immersed in water).
3. MODEL BF212
: unscrew by half-a-turn the tap (C.5) to get rid of residual pressure and heat inside the
boiler. When the boiler is cool, unscrew carefully the tap and add tap-water using a funnel.
4. Fill in the boiler according to the workload (1 lt of water is 1 hour of ironing). For small workloads we
recommend to pour a small quantity of water, the machine will be ready in a less time, thereby saving
electricity.
ATTENTION: do not unscrew the security tap (C.5) before ensuring that the machine is not connected
to the electric outlet. If the boiler is hot and pressured unscrew the tap very slowly. Do not comple -
tely fill, water drops may come out from the iron together with the steam.
5. Connect the boiler power cable (D.3) to the socket inside the control box. Connect the iron to the con -
nector (D.1) and to the solenoid valve (D.2).
6. Connect the power cable to the power grid (8) and activate the board switch (2).
7. Activate the iron switch (C.1) and the boiler switch (C.2).
8. MODEL BF214:
if the water level is under the minimum, a pump will start to load the boiler from the
water tank.
9. Activate the boiler heater 2 (C.4) to get a stronger and longer steam jet. For dry ironing only activate
the iron switch. Wait for the pressure gauge (C.6) to reach at least about 3 bar then start to work.
12.3 USE
1. Set the temperature of the ironing board with the knob (3) according to the type of fabric to be ironed
(optimal temp. 50/70°C).
2. Set the iron temperature with the thermostat (14).
3. Press on the red button on the iron handle (13) to deliver steam. Address the first steam jet far from
people and/or animals, to a safe direction, and press several times to get rid of possible condensation.
If necessary set the steam jet flow using the knob of the solenoid valve (D.2) (the regular position is
half open).
4. To activate the vacuum motor act on the pedal (9).
To avoid formation of condensation inside the table, only iron when the ironing board is hot and act on the
vacuum pedal every time steam is necessary.
At the end of the job, turn off all the switches, unplug the machine from the outlet and place it in a clean and dry
place. It is not necessary to empty the boiler. Empty the boiler at least once a month.
12. INSTALLATION AND USE MODELS BF212 and BF214
12.1 INSTALLATION
ATTENTION: read and follow carefully all the safety instructions previusly reported, pay attention to the in -
structions about the electrical system to which the appliance is connected.
1. Inserire il tubo vapore ed il cordone elettrico dell’elettroferro nel foro (D.3). Collegare l’elettroferro alla
presa elettrica (D.4) e all’elettrovalvola (D.2). Estrarre il cavo di alimentazione dalla caldaia.
2. Insert the tubes (sliding legs) (10) into the supports (7). Lock the tubes using the two knobs.
3. Place the cabinet (B) under the board (A) and lock it using the four knobs.
4. Insert the tubes (sliding legs) (10) into the cabinet supports. Screw the leg bracket (6) under the board.
Tighten the knobs placed on the cabinet supports.
