ATTENTION!
•
This winch is not suitable for lifting loads! It is suitable only for pulling and moving loads.
•
Before using the winch, convince yourself that the rope is in a good state and use only lashing gear
to fix the load that are in a good condition.
•
If the rope tears, it may kick-out violently. Avoid remaining in the danger area and make sure that
others are not endangered. Stand at an angle of 90° to the side of the winch.
ATTACHING THE WINCH
Mount the winch on a safe surface. To increase safety and stability, using 10 mm bolts, washers and
spring washers should be placed under the winch via the fixing boreholes in the base plate. Mount the
hand crank on the winch and secure it using the self-locking nuts supplied. Make sure that there is enough
space to turn the crank.
RATCHET SWITCH
There are 3 ratchet locking positions:
⇒
for pulling loads, the “switch” must be in the
top
position.
⇒
for slackening the towing rope, the “switch” must be in the
bottom
position.
⇒
In the
middle
position, the towing rope without load can be unwound for renewing the rope.
Caution
: The middle position is intended exclusively for unwinding the rope when renewing.
USED FOR
Attention! Handle the rope only when wearing gloves!
1. Set the clip lock to "Release towing rope".
2. Unwind the rope by turning the crank counter-clockwise. The lock is activated if the rope is only
pulled. For this reason, a second person should assist with unwinding.
3. Attach the draw hook safely to a load to be pulled. Ensure for the safe attachment of the draw hook
safety catch. Make sure that at least 4 to 6 rope windings remain on the drum in order to prevent the
rope from being pulled out of the drum. Never unwind the rope when subject to full load!
4. Set the clip lock to "Pull load". The catch must engage in the respective end position. Never work
without the catch being engaged!
5. Pulling is carried out by turning the crank clockwise, moving out in the opposite direction.
6. In doing so, observe the the rope has a clean winding run next to the winding on the drum. Never wind
up knots or loops!
7. Once the load to be pulled has reached its desired position, secure it against rolling away or slipping
away. Only then slacken the rope a little to remove the draw hook.
8. Then wind in the rope with a little tension on the hook and wind up correctly. The clip lock must also
engage here correctly!
