PRODUCT INFORMATION TG-X 930
Thank you for selecting the TG-X 930 condenser
microphone. Please take some time to read
carefully through this product information before
using the microphone.
Safety Information
• Protect the microphone from moisture and
sudden impacts. You could either injure yourself
or others or damage the microphone.
• Do not blow into the microphone, you could
damage the transformer. It is preferable to carry
out a speech trial.
• When using wired microphones always ensure
that the microphone cable is laid so that it does
not present a trip hazard.
Application
The TG-X 930 is a high-quality vocals microphone
with compensated close-talking effect, which is
ideal for sophisticated live or studio applications.
No foam is used in the multilayer wire mesh basket,
which provides optimum protection against
popping and wind noise, and is easy to clean. This
feature also results in a very constant cardioid polar
pattern with excellent feedback rejection. To avoid
handling noise, the electronics and microphone
transducer are shock mounted.
Connection
The TG-X 930 provides a 3-pin XLR connector. It can
be connected to any microphone input with
phantom power supply (44 - 52 V). For connecting
cables, please refer to “Optional Accessories”.
Mounting
As supplied accessory the TG-X 930 includes the
MKV 8
for stands with 3/8" thread. For stands with a
5/8" thread, the thread adapter can be unscrewed
using a small coin.
To attach to the
MKV 8
clamp the TG-X 930 should be
pressed between the two elastic jaws of the clamp.
Maintenance
For cleaning metal surfaces, use a soft, damp cloth
using only gentle cleansing agents (such as washing-
up liquid). Make sure that no water drops into the
microphone and do not use any solvent cleaners.
When your microphone sounds dull, you should
clean the integrated pop shield.
Proceed as described in the following.
• Unscrew the microphone
capsule (turn anti-clockwise).
• Remove the wire mesh pop
shield.
• Clean the pop shield under
clear running water.
• Allow the pop shield to dry
overnight before you replace it.
• The pop shield or microphone
basket
cannot
be cleaned in a
dishwasher.
Service
Servicing must be carried out by qualified service
personnel only. Dismantling the microphone yourself
will invalidate the guarantee.
