Service
In the unlikely event of equipment failure, the product should be returned to your beyerdynamic
dealer. Unauthorised attempts at repair may invalidate the warranty.

Maintenance
• Use a slightly moistened or dry cloth for cleaning the device. Do not use any solvent cleaners,
as these could damage the surface.
• From time to time you should clean the ear pads of the headphone with a soft, damp cloth.
Use clear water only, no detergents. Make sure not to allow any water to enter the transducer
elements. As ear pads wear out eventually you should replace them if it becomes necessary.
• For cleaning the pop shield remove it from the microphone and wash it under clear running
water. If necessary you can use a mild cleansing agent (e.g. washing-up liquid). Make sure that
the pop shield is completely dry before you replace it onto the microphone.

Solution
Although a multi-channel
track is used, Headzone
®
Game only receives a two-
channel sound (“PCM Stereo”
LED will illuminate instead of
“Dolby Digital” or “DTS
®
”
LED.
• Many DVD/Blu-ray players
provide the option to
change over the output for-
mat at the S/PDIF output
between “PCM” and the
original data of the
DVD/Blu-ray audio track (bit
stream). Regarding “PCM”
a stereo down mix is
created out of multi-
channel formats.
• Select “Bit stream” as
output format for the
S/PDIF output in the
configuration menu of your
DVD/Blu-ray player.
Virtual “audio picture” is
“crooked”.
• Headtracker On/Off switch
on the rear of the HBC 1
base station is not switched
to the “Off” position.
• Put the switch to the “Off”
position.
