2.2 Weighing
Weight is displayed in 10 g graduations from a minimum weight of 200 g.
Press the button in order to switch on the scales.
The most recently stored measured value appears first. Once the display reads “0.00 kg”
and “ready”, the scales are ready for the next measurement.
Now place the baby on the weighing surface. Be extremely careful not to let the baby fall
and take care of the baby‘s head.
These baby scales have a HOLD function. This function fixes the weight of the baby as
soon as it is still enough to record an accurate measured value. If the baby moves a lot,
it is impossible to determine its weight. You should therefore try to pacify the baby if it
is kicking in order to do the measurement promptly. Do not hold the baby, however, as
otherwise this will affect the weight reading.
As soon as the baby‘s weight is fixed, the message “HOLD” appears and the weight is
displayed for a further 5 seconds. The scales then automatically switch off. If you wish to
save the weight, you must press ”M“ within this 5-second period. “M” now starts flashing
instead of “HOLD”. This value is now saved and appears when you switch on the scales
the next time.
If you do not want to place the baby directly on the weighing surface, but prefer to use a
towel, for example, you have to place the towel on the scales BEFORE switching them on.
If the towel (and any other items which you want to deduct again during weighing) weighs
over 200 g, you can also use the TARA function. Press the TARA button once the items to
be deducted have been weighed and “HOLD” flashes. Place the baby on the scales and
continue as described above.
On delivery the scale is set at “kg” units. The button ”kg/lb/oz“ allows you to switch at any
time between kilogramme units and pounds (lb) and ounces (oz).
2.3 Disposal
