4. Remove the belt guard cover (refer to
Belt Guard Cover).
5. Remove cotter pin and release cable from
bracket

6. Disconnect the spring from the clutch
engagement arm

7. Cut any cable ties and remove cable assembly.
8. Install new cable in reverse order.
Note:
After assembly, test control to ensure
clutch releases fully.

1. Using a 5/16 socket, loosen the cable clamp and
remove cable end

2. Unscrew throttle control knob counter-clockwise.
3. Using a 3/8 wrench and 5/16 socket, remove the
throttle control bracket from dash panel

4. Cut any cable ties and remove cable. Install in
reverse order.
Note:
When installing a throttle cable on a
Briggs and Stratton equipped machine, place
throttle lever in the choke position and pull cable
while tightening cable clamp.
