bEFORE FIRST USE
1. Carefully unpack the hand blender and remove
all packaging material.
2. Clean the various accessories of your appliance in
warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly before
use. See cleaning section. do NOT immerse power
handle in any liquids.
3. Make sure the removable blender shaft fits firmly
on the power handle by rotating the shaft clockwise
until it is fixed.
IMPORTANT
1. With heavier mixtures, don’t use your hand blender
for longer than 30-45 seconds at a time. It may cause
the motor to overheat. Allow 2-3 minutes for unit to
cool.
2. Care should be taken when handling the sharp cutting
blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.
3. Only use your hand blender for its intended domestic
use.
HOW TO USE
Warning: Not for use with hot oils or other very hot liq-
uids
Note: Experience is the key to getting the best results
out of this appliance. After a few uses, you should be
able to determine which settings work best for your
preferences and recipes
1. Fit the blender shaft onto the power handle. Turn
clockwise and lock into place.
2. Plug into any 110/120V polarized outlet.
3. Place the items to be mixed into the cup or a similar
container. Hold the cup steady, select the required speed
then press the on/off switch. On the variable speed con-
trol, select a low speed for slower blending and to re-
duce splashing; select a higher speed or press turbo
button for faster blending). You can also blend food di-
rectly in a cooking pot or a saucepan as you like.
4. To avoid splashing, place the hand blender in the
food before switching on.
5. Do not let mixture go above the black line between
the power handle and blender shaft.
6. If your blender gets jammed, unplug before clearing
any blockages.
CLEANING
1. Always switch off and unplug before cleaning.
2. Use warm, soapy water to clean blender Shaft and
Measuring/Mixing Cup. Dry well.
3. Use a damp wash cloth to clean Power Handle. Dry
completely. Warning: Do not immerse Power Handle
in any liquids. There is a risk of shock and injury.
4. Take special care when cleaning the blades. They are
sharp and can cause cuts.
5. Take special care when preparing food for babies, the
elderly and infirm. Always ensure that the hand blender
shaft is thoroughly cleaned and sterilized.
6. Some foods, e.g. Carrot may discolor the shaft. Rub-
bing with a cloth dipped in vegetable oil helps remove
discoloring.
7. Do not wash any parts in a dishwasher.
