1. Safety

WARNING!
Do not abuse the cord. Do not pull the power cord from the wall socket. Protect
the cord from sharp edges, heat and oil. Do not use the cone heater if the power
supply cable is damaged. The power supply cable must be replaced by the
manufacturer, his agent or equally qualified personnel.
Risk of burns due to contact with cone and heated components. Use the included
heat-resistant gloves (suitable for temperatures up to 150ºC). When unprotected
keep at least 200mm/ 8” distance from heater surfaces and workpieces.
Do not use cone heaters in spaces where there is a risk of explosion due to
combustible or flammable liquids, gaseous or explosive atmospheres.
Do not use cone heaters around hazardous materials.
Do not use cone heaters on a surface that may burn.
Do not leave cone heaters unattended while switched on.
Always observe the correct maintenance and operating practices. Failure to follow
the instructions in this user manual may cause the device to break down
combined with a risk of personal injury.
The Bessey cone heater should not be used by the following user groups
- users under the age of 16 without the supervision of an adult;
- users who are mentally or physically impaired to the extent that operation of
the device can cause danger to the user or the environment.

Safety precautions

the work practice.
Follow the instructions in the manual at all times.
Never use or store a cone heater in a damp environment.
Only use Bessey cone heaters indoors.
When heating, wear protective heat resistant gloves .
Do not modify the heater. Never use home-made parts.
Always check whether the workpiece is positioned in the centre of the cone.
Switch on the heater only after you completed the above check.
