Do not take temperature on scar tissues, open sores or abrasions. Do not use thermo-
meter on sweating or wet forehead.
Do not take temperature during or immediately after nursing a child.
Do not use this thermometer outdoors.
Do not use this thermometer to assess temperature in proximity of surfaces/places with
high temperatures (e.g. fireplaces or stoves).
The probe window is the most delicate part of the thermometer; do not touch nor damage
it in any way.
Keep the thermometer in the same room where reading takes place.
If the thermometer is stored in a significantly different environment than testing location,
make sure to place it in the testing location for at least 30 minutes.
Do not use this devise in oxygen-rich environment, and in environments where flamma
-
ble anesthetic mixtures with air, oxygen or nitrous oxide can be found.
Istructions for use
Measurement of body temperature (forehead)
Press ; the thermometer emits a beep sound, and the display activates, showing all the
available functions and backlight colors. After a few seconds, the thermometer makes
another beep sound, confirming that it is ready for reading.
Aim the probe of the thermometer at the center of the forehead, with a distance of 2-3
cm, and press START button.
Note: do not remove the thermometer from the forehead before hearing the final
beep sound.
The result of the measurement is shown on the display; backlight will be in 3 different
colors, based on temperature assessed:
green when the thermometer is ready for reading, and when temperature assessed
is below 37.3 °C (99.1°F)
yellow when temperature assessed is below 37,8 °C (100.0°F)
red when temperature assessed is equal to or above 37,8 °C (100.0 °F)
Press to turn thermometer off.
Waiting at least 3 seconds between each reading, to ensure complete accuracy.
To turn the thermometer off after taking the temperature, press ; display will show the
OFF writing.
Thermometer will automatically shut off if not used for 1 minute, to preserve battery life.
Measurement of surface temperature
To select surface mode, when the thermometer is on press . Aim the probe window
at the center of the object or surface, with a distance of 1-2 cm, and press START button.
Wait for the second beep sound before removing the thermometer.
Press to turn thermometer off.
Memory mode
Memory mode can be used both in forehead and surface mode.
When thermometer is on and ready to be used, or after taking the temperature, long
press for 3 seconds: the symbol M appear on the display (to the right). At this point, the
thermometer will show last 10 readings; to see them, keep pressing (each reading is
preceded by its correspondent number from 1 to 10, where reading number 1 represents
the latest and reading number 10 represents the oldest).
Memory mode can be used for both body temperature reading and surface/objects/li-
quids temperature reading.
