Descaling
• De-scale the kettle regularly, possibly once a week, depending on the hardness of the water
and the frequency of use.
Scale significantly diminishes the heating performance of the kettle.
• In case the appliance switches off before the water boils, decalcification should be
performed.
• To decalcify, fill the kettle with water and 2 tablespoons of white vinegar. Boil the
vinegarsolution and leave it in the kettle overnight. The next day empty the kettle, refill with
fresh water and boil again. Pour the water away.
• Calcium deposits may also be removed using commercial decalcifying products. Follow the
manufacturer’s instructions.
