• Keep children well away and ensure that users are fully aware of the
danger of escaping hot steam and splashing boiling water!
• Never yank on the cord as this may damage the cord and eventually
cause a risk of electric shock.
• Regularly check the plug and lead of the appliance for wear and
damage.
• If the supply cord is damaged do not use the appliance, and contact
an authorized BENRUBI service centre.
• Never try to repair the appliance on your own and contact an
authorised Benrubi Service Centre.
• Avoid touching the hot surfaces of the kettle. Use the handle.
• To avoid scalding, always ensure the lid is correctly shut before use.
• To avoid possible steam damage, turn the spout away from walls or
cabinets when operating the kettle.
• Switch off and unplug from the outlet before filling, emptying or
cleaning the kettle, or when not in use.
• The water level must be between the “MAX” and “MIN” indications.
• Do not overfill the kettle exceeding the “MAX” indication as boiling
water may be ejected.
Caution
: Make sure that the appliance is switched off before you
remove the kettle from the base.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving the kettle containing hot
water. Never lift the kettle by its lid. Always use the body handle.
• Do not switch the kettle on if it is empty.
• Use the kettle only with the supplied base unit. Do not use the base
unit for other purposes.
• To protect against fire, do not operate in the presence of explosive
and/or flammable fumes.
• A kettle should not be left connected to a wall socket when the room
temperature is likely to fall to outdoor winter temperatures. At subzero
temperatures the automatic control thermostat may reset to boil and
energize the element.
• Do not use the kettle for any purpose other than heating water. Other
liquids of food will contaminate the interior.
• Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
• Switch, base, and cable must not come into contact with water. If this
happen accidentally, ensure that all parts are completely dry before the
kettle is used again.
• Do not leave the power switch in the “I” position.
• After the kettle has switched off automatically, there may be a short
delay before it can be re-boiled – this is usually no more than 20
