Wireless button
Press this button to activate/deactivate wireless
devices like Bluetooth and WLAN. Make sure this
button is "ON" before using <Fn> + <F12>. For
details, refer to
"Using the Wireless button" on
page 21

Earphone/SPDIF audio output socket
Can be used to connect to an earphone/headset
or external speaker for playing the Joybook audio.
SPDIF (Sony-Philips Digital Interface Format) is a
fibre optic digital audio outlet for 'Mini Optical'
3.5mm plugs. It shares a common socket in the
Joybook with a standard analog audio outlet for
3.5mm stereo plugs.
• To activate SPDIF, go to Control Panel, Hardware and
Sound, and select Sound. Select SPDIF Interface
under the Playback tab, click Set Default, and then
click OK.
• Supported digital audio formats: DTS, Dolby Digital,
and Microsoft WMA Pro Audio.

Microphone input socket
Can be used to connect to a microphone for
recording sounds.
This socket is for 3.5mm analog audio plugs. It
accepts both mono and stereo plugs.

Five-in-One memory card slot
For a Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, SD, MMC,
or xD memory card.
(11) LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) panel
