6.2 Commissioning flow chart insulation fault location

Install the Insulation fault 

locator EDS46x /49x and the 

appropriate CTs

Connect the RS-485 interface 

(BMS bus) of the EDS46x /49x 

to the iso1685P

Address all BMS 

components, a bus master 

with address 1 is required

Connect supply voltage

Connect system voltage

iso1685P successfully

carries out a self test

Function test with a suitable

resistance between system and 

earth. Value: 50% of the response
