The processed blank should be checked for the presence of metal or mineral inclusions (nails,
clips, debris, rocks, etc.). Do not process the materials having cracks, loose knots, rottenness,
or other flaws in the wood.
During cross-cutting of round timber, supply the blank by moving it over the table surface, not
by rolling.
Blanks should not be moist. The recommended moisture content is not more than 22%.
7.5 Working stance and blank supply
The correct working stance of the operator is standing position. To supply the blank, the
operator should stand in an off-center position, near the supply point.
When planing, move the workpiece along the feeding table while pressing it against the guide
4 (figure 1). Doing that, the operator should keep fingers joined and hold the blank on the top
by both hands. The correct hands' position: one hand is on the blank’s top surface over the
outfeed table, the other hand - on the blank’s top surface over the loading table.
Blanks should be planed along the full length not moving it back over the rotating cutterblock.
Blanks with a thickness of less than 65 mm should be planed with the usage of the clamping
device (included in the package set).
When sawing and milling, the workpiece should be held with fingers, moved exactly along
tabletop, with no tilting, using guide 4 and, if necessary, the device for cross cutting at an angle 47.
Keep your hands in safe distance from the cutting point.
Blank supply should be uniform (with no jerking). Supply speed should provide stable machine
operation and prevent its overload.
For processing short workpieces (shorter than 300 mm), use pusher 16. Pusher storage location
is shown in figure 1a.
Should the outlet gets jammed due to poor dust extraction, it is required to use the dust
collector with capacity at no less than 900 m
3
/h.
8. MARKING AND PACKAGING
There is a plate with the information about the parameters of the power supply on the machine.
It is recommended to comply with these requirements when connecting the machine to the
network.
It is necessary to observe the symbols on the packaging during transportation and storage.
Consider the tool sizes and do not use adapters for them. Use the tool recommended by the
manufacturer. When working, consider the maximum allowable finished dimensions.
Information on the types of processing is listed on the label on the fencing 19 (fig. 1) of the saw
blade below the table level.
