server, for communication with the UPS.

2.2 Installing the UPS

Please refer to the Belkin OmniGuard

Rackmount UPS user manual.

2.2.1 Computer interface connection

Connect the interface cable to a 9-pin computer interface port on the rear side of the UPS.
Connect the other end of the cable to the server that will be monitoring/controlling the
UPS.

CAUTION!

Connect the interface cable from the server to

the 9-pin communication port on the rear panel of the UPS
first, before set up the software.

CAUTION!

It is an option for the installation of software,

UPS works fine without the installation of the software.
