Connecting the terminal block
The supply voltage and the signal contact are connected via a 6-pin terminal
block with a snap lock.
2.6.1
Supply voltage
The supply voltage can be connected redundantly. Both inputs are
uncoupled. There is no distributed load. With redundant supply, the power
supply unit with the higher output voltage supplies the device on its own. The
supply voltage is electrically isolated from the housing.
You can choose between DC or AC voltage when connecting the supply
voltage. You use the +24V and 0V pins to connect the AC voltage
(see
figure 12)
.
Figure 12: Connecting the supply voltage at the 6-pin terminal block
1 – DC voltage, voltage range: 9.6 V DC to 60 V DC
2 – AC voltage, voltage range: 18 V AC to 30 V AC
With a non-redundant supply of the supply voltage, the device reports the
loss of a supply voltage. You can prevent this message by changing the
configuration in the Management.
WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK
Connect only a supply voltage that corresponds to the type plate of your
device.
Never insert sharp objects (small screwdrivers, wires, etc.) into the
connection terminals for electric conductors, and do not touch the terminals.
Observe the maximum values for the contact load of the signal contact.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury,
or equipment damage.
