2.11

Installing and grounding the device

2.11.1 Installing the device onto the DIN rail

Verify that there is at least 4 in (10 cm) of space above and below the device.
The overall shield of a connected shielded twisted pair cable is connected to 
the ground connector on the front panel as a conductor.

To mount the device onto a horizontally mounted 35 mm DIN rail according 
to DIN EN 60715, proceed as follows:

Slide the upper snap-in guide of the device into the DIN rail.

Pull the rail lock slide down using a screwdriver, and press the lower part 
of the device against the DIN rail.

Snap in the device by releasing the rail lock slide.
