DC Power Inlets
The G2 Series 1U Router Control Panel unit may be DC powered from one or two external,
Grass Valley power supply modules. There are two DC power inlets on the rear of the
control panel main unit: “PSU1” and “PSU2”. See Figure 2-9.

Each DC power inlet connector has a threaded outer to enable the DC power cable from the
DC power module to be securely fastened.
Either DC power inlet may be used as the primary power supply inlet.
Full power supply redundancy is achieved by powering the control panel from two power
supply modules with each module connected to a separate AC mains supply. One DC
power connection can be disconnected or connected from the unit while the unit is
operating.
Fuses
The G2 Series 1U Router Control Panel does not contain user-serviceable fuses.
The external power supply modules do not contain user-serviceable fuses.
WARNING

The rear DC Power connectors are DC power inlets.

They are NOT AC mains power inlets.
WARNING

To reduce the risk of electric shock, plug each power supply
cord into separate branch circuits employing separate
service grounds.
Note: The G2 Series 1U Router Control Panel unit’s external power supply
module is Grass Valley Order Code:
• INSY_PSU_EXT
Two power supply modules are required for redundancy.

WARNING:

PSU 1 and PSU 2 connectors are DC power inlets.

They are NOT AC mains inlets.
