Operation and function
This section contains important information on the operation of
the appliance.
Safety precautions
WArNING
Improper use may cause injury to persons or material dam-
age!
In addition to the fundamental safety precautions, observe all
information stated in this section in order to avoid danger.
Do not put any inflammable substances onto the grill plates

or in the vicinity of the appliance.
Before
using for the first time
Clean the appliance as described in the section Cleaning and

maintenance.
Before using the appliance for the first time, heat it up once
■
for approx. 10 minutes to remove any production residue
(grease).
Set the maximum temperature with the thermostat (9).

Turn the timer (6) to the "I" position.
–
When the standby indicator (7) lights up, turn the timer (6)
–
to "10 minutes". After the time has elapsed, an acoustic
signal is emitted.
NOTE
The appliance may give off a little smoke when used for

the first time. This is completely normal. Ensure suffi-
cient ventilation.
Turn the thermostat (9) to the "

Allow the appliance to cool down completely.

maintenance.
