3. Remove the dirt trap mat (

) from the device and shake it out. If necessary, use a little
mild detergent and warm water to remove more intense soiling.
4. Check the mains cable regularly for any damage.
Inserting / Removing the Shoe Wax Container
The
BEEM shoe wax
(approx. 150 ml) can be obtained from selected specialist stock-
ists or via our customer service department

The shoe wax containers can also be
fi
lled with standard commercial shoe wax; a
funnel may need to be used to do this. Do not use solid pastes or anything similar
(e.g. dubbin) as they may stick to the shoe wax container.
To prevent any accidental damage, colourless shoe wax should be used for all
shoes. Otherwise, the shoe wax container must be replaced appropriately depend-
ing on whether light or dark shoes are to be polished.
1. Remove the holder for the shoe wax container (

) from the device (

):

Press on the metal tab on the inside.

Pull the holder out to the right.
2. Pull the empty shoe wax container out of the holder.
3. Unscrew the screw cap from the
fi
lled shoe wax container.
4. Unscrew the shoe wax dispenser (

) from the empty shoe wax container and screw it
onto the full shoe wax container. If necessary, place the sphere and spring back into
the shoe wax dispenser (

).
5. Slide the shoe wax container back into the holder (
Picture E
).
6. Insert the holder back into the device:

Insert the holder with the edge on the right-hand side into the recess which is provided
for it (
Picture F
). When you do this, make sure that the shoe wax dispenser is pointing
downwards.

Press the holder leftwards into the device until you hear it engage in place.
Removing / Attaching Brushes
To remove the brushes, undo the relevant screws
fi
xing the brush on the mounting
bracket using a standard screwdriver (
Picture G
).
If the hard cleaning brush (
7
) is to be replaced, one of the two cotton brushes must be
removed beforehand.
To attach the brushes, slide them back onto the mounting bracket and
fi
x them in place
with the screws. Twist the screws
fi
rmly in place as otherwise the brushes cannot turn.
