Handling and Operation
PLEASE NOTE!

Do not pour milk or other liquids into the water tank. Only ever use water to make
coffee!
•
Never over

ll a paper

lter.
Filling the Water Tank
1. Remove the water tank (

).
2. Flip open the water tank lid (

) and pour the quantity of water required for the number of
cups you want (maximum 10 cups) into the water tank.
3. Close the water tank lid and insert the water tank back into the main device (

). Make sure
that it
fi
ts correctly!
All of the water in the water tank is always used, regardless of the set number of
cups or coffee strength.
Adding Coffee Beans
1. Remove the lid from the coffee bean compartment (

).
Ensure that the water tank (
5
) is closed so that no coffee beans can fall into the water tank.
2. Fill the coffee bean compartment (

) with coffee beans. Do not over
fi
ll it (note the
MAX
marking
(

)!)

3. Place the lid back on the coffee bean compartment.
When you switch to another type of coffee, there will still be coffee powder from the previ-
ous type in the grinder shaft. The grinder shaft may need to be cleaned beforehand (see the
“Cleaning and Care” chapter – “Cleaning the Grinder Shaft”).
Setting the Grinding Fineness
Move the dial for the grinding
fi
neness (

) to the position you want (
fi
ne – coarse) (

When you switch to another grinding strength, there will still be coffee powder with the
previous grinding strength in the grinder shaft. The grinder shaft may need to be cleaned
beforehand (see the “Cleaning and Care” chapter – “Cleaning the Grinder Shaft”).
