Adjust Aeration Screw in Burners
At the air entry side of each burner turn the aeration screw anticlockwise until no thread is protruding
into the burner, and lock to place with a locking nut. Do not completely remove the screw. Once adjusted,
re-seal position with red paint. This must only be done by a qualified person.
Replace All Parts Into Position In The Barbecue.
Refit the burners and locking clips that hold each burner in position. Replace all Vaporizers, cooking plates
and grills, and Hood. Check the operation of each burner.
Perform a Leak Test and Pressure Test
Use the following procedure to check for gas leaks. Never use a naked flame to check for gas leaks.
1. In a small container, mix up a solution of water and detergent or soap. Mix the solution well.
2. For LPG make sure that the gas supply valve on the gas cylinder is turned on. For NG make sure that
the gas line is correctly fitted to the appliance.
3. Make sure that the gas control valves on the appliance are all turned off.
4. Using a brush or spray bottle apply the solution to the gas line and each join in the gas line.
5. Bubbling of the solution will indicate that there is a leak present.
6. Re-tighten or re-seal any joints that are leaking.
7. If a leak persists then contact your distributor or the manufacturer for assistance.
Use the following procedure to test the pressure
8. Remove the far left burner.
9. Place a hose and pressure gauge over the control valve’s injector.
10. Turn all other burners on, including the side burner.
11. Turn the LH valve with measuring devise on as well, and take reading.
12. Pressure reading for Natural Gas should be as in table below for each region.
Replace the Data Label
Peel the replacement label from its backing sheet and place this over the existing data label to indicate
that the unit is configured for Natural Gas. This label can be found on the front of the barbecue body.
NOTE
: To convert the BeefEater barbecue from Natural Gas to LPG, all of the above
steps must be reversed including the replacement of the Data Label.
NOTE
: The correct spanner to be used with these Injectors is 9/32” or 3BA.
Connect to the natural gas supply
Connecting to Natural gas supply must be performed only by your natural gas provider or service company.
Warning:
If the appliance is using natural gas, a qualified installer should be called in to
install the appliance. The quick coupling should comply with ISO 6150, and the
quick coupling is not sold with appliance.Warning: If LPG is connected to NG set
appliance, fire and injury may occurred.If use non-correct NG quick coupling, gas
leakage, fire and injury may occurred.
After conversion to natural gas, the product must be secured with a chain and
cannot be moved.
The barbecue need to be bolted to the ground.
