Instrument for Setup
Overview
The Beckman Coulter Field Service Engineer integrates and sets up the Biomek NX
P
instrument, but
does not physically assist in unpacking the instrument or placing it on the lab bench.
NOTE
The Biomek NX
P
instrument must be unpacked and set on the lab bench for the Beckman Coulter Field
Service Engineer, who might provide input either in person or over the telephone.

Inspecting the NXP Instrument
• Moving the NXP Instrument to the Installation Site

Moving the NX
P
Instrument Crate to the Unpacking Location
When the Biomek NX
P
instrument crate arrives, move it to an appropriate area for unpacking and
inspecting the Biomek NX
P
instrument.
NOTE
The crate containing the Biomek NX
P
instrument will not fit through standard doorways. It measures
38.75 in. (L) x 42 in. (W) x 60.63 in. (H), or 0.98 m (L) x 1.07 m (W) x 1.54 m (H).
If a long-bladed pallet jack is used to remove the Biomek NX
P
instrument shipping crate, it can be
lifted from either end. If a forklift is used to move the crate, it can be lifted from either side or either
end.
