10.2 Faults

Fault Cause Measures
No function after the Embedded
PC has been switched on. • No power supply for the
Embedded PC
• Other causes.
1. Check the fuse.
2. Check the supply voltage and
the pin assignment.
3. Call Beckhoff support.
Embedded PC does not boot fully. Hard disk damaged (e.g. due to
switching off while software is
running), incorrect setup, other
causes.
1. Check setup.
2. Call Beckhoff support.
Computer boots, software starts,
but control system does not
operate correctly. Cause of the fault is either in the
software or in parts of the plant
outside the Embedded PC. Call the manufacturer of the
machine or the software.
Error during CFast card access. Faulty CFast card, faulty card slot. 1. Use another CFast card to test
the card slot.
2. Call Beckhoff support.
Embedded PC only works partially
or temporarily. Defective components in the
Embedded PC. Call Beckhoff support.
The time and date are no longer
saved. The service life of the battery is
exceeded
Replace the battery [

Fan is not turning. Fan faulty.

CX20x0 with Windows Embedded
Compact 7 does not find new
hardware (e.g. extension modules). The Embedded PC only searches
for new hardware at the PCI bus on
first startup. Delete the folder "Documents and
Settings" on the CFast card.
