Installation Instructions

1)  Lay the pieces of the frame on the ground
beside your hot tub so that the long bars and the
long part of the "L" shaped corner pieces are on
the ends and the short bars and short side of the
corner pieces are on the sides (refer to figure 1).
The screw holes on the L shaped corner pieces
should point towards the centre of the rectangle
created by laying the parts in this fashion.

2)  Measure the long
and short bars and
mark the centre of
them with a pencil.

3)  Take the upper
section of the
rectangle and insert
a long bar into the long ends of the corner pieces.
Place this section of the frame across the top of
the hot tub so that the outside edge lies along the
edge of the seam through the middle of the cover,
closest to the side of the hot tub where the
bottom of the Lift ‘n Store will be attached (figure
2). Use the side bars to hold up the ends of the
corner sections and adjust the fit of the corners so
that they are approximately 1 inch from the sides
of the cover.

4)  Centre the long bar in the
corner pieces using a tape
measure and the pencil mark
you put on the long bar in
step 2.

5)  Put a pencil mark where
the long bar meets the
corner pieces.

6)  Place the top section of the frame back on level
ground and align the pencil marks on the bar with
the corner pieces. Ensure that the short arms of
the corner pieces are level with each other. Use
the 3/4" self tapping screws to fasten the top
section of the frame together.

7)  Position the 4 black plastic mounting blocks on
the corner pieces of the bottom section so that
the inside two sit between the first two screw
holes on each corner piece and the outside two
sit outside of the third screw hole on each corner
piece as in figure 3a.

Congratulations on your purchase of the

these instructions before beginning
assembly and insure that all of the parts
listed are included.

8)  Measure the distance between the corners of
the now complete top section of the frame and fit
the bottom section together so that this distance
is the same as on the top section. Ensure that
the long bar for the bottom section is centred by
using the pencil mark from step 2. Ensure that
the short arms of the corner pieces are level with
each other.

9)  Fasten the bottom section together with the
3/4" self tapping screws.

10)  Insert the short side bars into the top and
bottom sections of the frame and lift the partially
assembled unit into place on the hot tub.

11)   Use a #10 x 1 1/2" wood screw partially
inserted into the hot tub cabinet to hold the
frame 4" off of the ground (refer to figures 3 and
3a). Make sure to align the mounting block, so
that the wood screws do not go into a joint on
the hot tub cabinet. Mark the spots for the
screws and pre-drill the holes for each screw.

DO

NOT DRILL MORE THAN 1/8" BEYOND THE
CABINET TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE
PLUMBING.

12)  Align the top section
of the frame along the
seam as in figure 2.

13)  Measure the distance between the corner
pieces along either side of the frame, ensuring
that these two distances are equal. Put a pencil
mark where the short bar meets the corner
pieces.

14)  Place the Lift ‘n Store back on the ground
and adjust the sides so they are the correct
length as measured in the previous step. Centre
the side bars using the pencil marks made in
step 2 and 13, once again ensuring that the bars
are level with each other. Fasten the side section
together with two 3/4" self tapping screws for
each side.

15)  Affix the safety chains to the
frame with the 3/4" self tapping
screws. Use a washer on either
side of the chain and partially
tighten the self tapping screws
using the holes that face the
centre of the frame. Refer to figure
4.

16)  Fasten the chain
mounting brackets to the
other end of the safety
chains with the 1 1/2"
wood screw, two washers,
and the plastic spacer as
shown in figure 6a. Ensure you insert the
wood screws so that only an eighth of an inch
of the screw protrudes from the back of the
bracket.

17)  Ensuring that the lower section is 4" off the
ground, fasten all mounting blocks using 1 1/2"
wood screws to the hot tub cabinet as in figure
4. Do not insert wood screws through joints in
the hot tub cabinet.

18)  Hold the frame so
that it leans slightly away
from the hot tub. Extend
the safety chain on one
side so it is tight and
align one side of the
chain mounting bracket
against the hot tub lip as
in figure 6. Screw the 1 1/2"
wood screw in the centre of the chain mounting
bracket into the hot tub cabinet ensuring that
none of the holes on the chain mounting bracket
line up with the joints on the hot tub cabinet.
Use the 3/4" wood screws to secure the corners
of the chain mounting bracket. Repeat this
procedure on the other side of the hot tub.

19)  Your Lift ‘n Store is now ready to use! Lay
the Lift ‘n Store down on the cover of the hot
tub and fold the cover over the top section. Lift
the folded cover off of the tub and your Lift ‘n
Store should hold it off
the ground in an

upright position as in
figure 7.
