3. Always Be Aware
It is important that the ventilation openings of the appliance are not
obstructed. The barbecue must be used on a level, stable, non-flammable
surface. The appliance should be protected from direct draughts and shall be
positioned or protected against direct penetration by any trickling water (e.g.
rain). There should be no combustible materials within 250mm from the sides
and back of the barbecue and none within 1500mm above the cooking
surface of the barbecue.
Parts sealed by the manufacturer or his agent must not be altered by the user.
No modifications should be made to any part of this barbecue and repairs and
maintenance should only be carried out by a registered service engineer.
IMPORTANT: Keep children away from the barbecue during
use, and until it has cooled down after use.
IMPORTANT: Any modification of this unit can be dangerous.
Do not place the grill near entrances, doorways or in thoroughfares.
Do not use charcoal, briquettes or lighter fluid in any gas BBQ
BBQ units should never be placed in a fully enclosed patio area without
a chimney or non-flammable exhaust hood, with an efficient exhaust fan.
Never move the grill while it is hot or in operation.

4. Check for leaks
BEFORE USE CHECK FOR LEAKS
Never check for leaks with a naked flame, always use a soapy water solution
TO CHECK FOR LEAKS:
Make 2-3 fluid ounces of leak detecting solution by mixing one part washing
up liquid with 3 parts water.
Most Important:
No person shall install a fixed appliance, equipment or system for gas LP
Gas fuel, unless such a person is a holder of a certificate of registration. It’s
important to always check not only from a safety perspective, if your gas
installer is properly licensed. The installation must conform to SANS 10087.
