Nautica Configuration Wizard Reference Guide
Parameter:
Bandwidth Mode
Default:
On Demand
Options:
On Demand, Permanent
Function:
This parameter is the operating and backup mode of the
path. The two options here are as follows:
•
On Demand: Select this option only if you are
using a switched or leased line connection for this
path.
•
Permanent: With this option selected, if the leased
line goes down, an ISDN call is opened as a backup.
This call lasts as long as the leased line is down.
Instructions:
Select the relevant option.
Parameter:
Min Bandwidth
Default:
0
Options:
A valid bandwidth
Function:
This parameter specifies the minimum number of
packets (in bits per second) that can pass down this path.
Instructions:
If a minimum bandwidth has not been set at the other
end of this path and you want this parameter set, then set
it here.
Caution:
Selecting Permanent can dramatically increase ISDN
charges if a leased line connection goes down.
Note:
Only enter the Minimum Bandwidth at one end of the
path. Minimum Bandwidth is entered in multiples of 64000 for
ISDN connections.
