The SV8 delivers remarkable bass performance and

outstanding sound quality, in keeping with BASSBOSS

tradition. This single 8” loudspeaker compares to

others’ 12” loudspeakers for response and output.

The cabinet is made in the USA from 15mm Baltic Birch.

Every effort was made to deliver full, rich, smooth

sound from a very compact enclosure.

The SV8 is suitable for use as a studio monitor and

is equally at home in a live environment.

 It provides

extremely flat frequency response with a neutral
character for critical monitoring duties and it’s capable
of remarkably high output, especially for its size. A pair
of SV8s delivers extremely high fidelity sound with the
added bonus of high output plus the flexibility to extend
their output even further by adding a subwoofer or two.

A large port, positioned clear of the woofer grill,

provides deep response without port compression or air

velocity noise at high levels.

 The high-frequency horn

is mounted to its own baffle to eliminate reflections
from side-walls and is mounted clear of the grill to
ensure uncompromised sound quality. The rear-mounted
amplifier is protected by a set of integrated handles,
which make carrying the boxes a breeze and provide
clean, elegant lines to the enclosure. A standard 35mm

die-cast zinc pole socket is provided in the bottom of
the enclosure and there are four 3/8” threaded fly points
also provided.

The digital processor in the amplifier provides

4 presets, which allow the speaker to be used as a

full-range system, as a satellite for a small subwoofer

or as a main speaker with a larger subwoofer.

 Preset

1 has the SV8 in full-range mode, offering frequency
response to 40Hz with limiters engaged to prevent
overdriving. Preset 2 offers slightly more SPL and
response to 60Hz. Preset 3 provides another step up in
SPL with the high-pass filter moved to 80Hz. Preset 4
offers the highest peak SPL with the high-pass filter set
at 100Hz. Presets 3 and 4 are recommended when the
SV8 is used with a subwoofer.
