• Insert three 1.5 V AA batteries into the compartment by pulling down the tab of the battery
compartment at the top and opening the door. Observe the polarity markings on the base of the
compartment.
• Place the amplifier in a suitable position and switch the on/off switch to the up (on) position, the
LED will illuminate.
• Turn the volume control to minimum then insert a 3.5mm jack lead into the socket on the rear of the
amplifier. Connect the other end into the line or headphone out of the MP3 player.
• Adjust the volume control on the amplifier to the desired position.
• Adjust the bass and treble controls to obtain the desired sound quality.
NOTE: If using the headphone socket on the other unit, the volume level of this unit needs lowering in
order not to overload the input of the unit.

• Never mix different types of batteries
• Remove flat batteries from equipment
